Jesup First United Methodist Church offers a variety of programs and activities for children (birth through 5th Grade).  We welcome all children to become involved in the programs which interest them and welcome parental involvement in any and all activities.

Children’s Ministry Schedule

Nursery: A Nursery is provided for children from birth through age 2 during each of Sunday’s three worship services, during Wednesday afternoon and evening activities, and upon request for meetings and events.  Ms. Jackie Allen and Ms. Lovie Emery provide love and care for our children.

SUNDAY SCHOOL, Sunday, 9:45: There is a Sunday School class for each age group, Pre-K through 5th Grade where children can learn the Bible lessons and interact with other children under the care of dedicated teachers.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH, Sunday, 11:00: A Children’s Church program is offered during the Morning Worship Service at 11:00 on Sunday.  Using a set curriculum, our Director of Children’s Ministries and dedicated parents lead our children in this time of worship and age-appropriate study of scripture.

PARK PATROL: Park Patrol is an opportunity for our children to learn the importance of ministry.  This group of 4th and 5th Graders assists the adult leadership with Children’s Church, during the Morning Worship Service.  Children who are interested should contact the Director of Children’s Ministries.

KIDZ ZONE, Wednesday, 3:45: Kidz Zone is our Wednesday afternoon Bible activity for children.   Pre-K through First grade meet together and grades 2nd – 5th meet together.  Using a set curriculum, our Director of Children’s Ministries and volunteers lead the children in age-appropriate study of scripture through games and activities.

CHIMES AND HANDBELLS, Wednesday, 4:30: There are two groups for those interested in playing chimes and handbells.  One group is for children age 5 – 7; another group is for second graders through fifth graders.  Under the leadership of our Director of Music Ministries, Dr. David Amann, and dedicated volunteers, the children rehearse weekly and perform in worship regularly.  Those interested in participating in one of these groups should contact the Director of Children’s Ministries.

AWESOME KIDZ OF GOD, Wednesday, 5:10: The Awesome Kidz of God is the name given to our Children’s Choirs.  There are two children’s choirs: one for ages 5 – 7 and another for second through fifth graders.  Under the leadership of our Director of Music Ministries, Dr. David Amann, and dedicated volunteers, the children rehearse weekly and perform in worship regularly.  Those interested in participating in one of these groups should contact the Director of Children’s Ministries.
